Entrepreneurship Education Committee

This  committee is constituted from members of staff in the business and technology area, creative individuals and enterprising staff with experience in entrepreneurship/industry. This committee is chaired by the area coordinator for the business area. 

The aims of the Entrepreneurship Education Committee (EEC) are as follows:

  • to educate college students in various entrepreneurship skills
  • to assist in the coaching of JA companies throughout their trajectory of company formation, product development, sales, marketing and presentation of the final product/service. To assist in processing the learning that occurs throughout this experience
  • to forge fruitful links with enterprises both of a profitable and a non-profitable nature and come up with initiatives which educate students about the benefits and risks of entrepreneurship, the nature of social and sustainable entrepreneurship, advocacy and entrepreneurship in its various forms
  • to assist students to understand the relevance of business subjects by providing opportunities to practice theoretical understanding through hands-on work-based scenarios.
